Sledding

Brexton hasn't really ever been "sledding" except for up at The Village. Although he has been pulled on a sled behind a 4-wheeler quite a bit. Fun...but nothing can beat a good ride down a hill. There is an amphitheatre out in Eagle Mountain that makes a perfect sledding hill. So the fun begins................

Stitches!

A few weeks ago, Brexton was watching cartoons downstairs while I was upstairs putting Jumper down for a nap. He comes running up crying with blood dripping down his face. (He was rocking on a little chair and fell and hit the coffee table.) Trying not to panic, (or have him wake Jumper) I take him to my bathroom and wipe the blood off and see a big gash. It stopped bleeding fairly quick- so everything was fine. As I was looking at the cut it wasn't big, but it was kind of gaping open. I thought I should probably take him to the ER and have a doctor take a look, however, Bryson always calls me a "paranoid parent" so I figured since it wasn't bleeding any more- he would be fine, but just end up with a huge scar. Well, Bryson comes home from work a little later, and first thing he said was, "He needs stitches." I felt horrible since I didn't take him in myself. It was really nice because our Pediatrician has a night clinic in Pleasant Grove, so we didn't have to wait at an ER. Brexton played his DS the entire time- he didn't even know he got stitches until we told him after in the car. A few days later I took him back to get the stitches removed. He was a little nervous, but he did just fine while they removed the stitches and didn't even cry. But when they opened the alcohol wipe to clean the cut before they glued it- he starts screaming and kicking.............BECAUSE OF THE SMELL! He has always been very sensitive to smells. I was laughing and trying to hold his nose shut. Oh boy. So traumatic!

Tiny Treasures:
While he had his stitches, he put on some glasses and said," Now I really am Harry Potter."

6 month pics of Jumper

Ricky Christensen did Jumper's 6 month pictures and they are just adorable. You wouldn't know it was super cold and sunny. We can't believe how big he is getting. Where does the time go?

Who needs to share?

Brexton has been really good to share his DS with cousins, parents and friends. Bryson just got home from work and Brex was so willing to let dad have a turn to play. I thought this picture was so sweet. Then, just as I was putting the camera away...

Dad didn't let Brexton have his turn. Brex was pretty upset.

Christmas Celebrations

The Sunday before Christmas, we always go to Richfield for the Fire Department Christmas Party. We were able to go to church there and the Grandma Jensen got them new church outfits.

Such handsome boys!

After filling ourselves with sloppy joes, Santa makes an appearance and gives all the children a gift.

Jumper didn't even cry when he sat on Santa's lap.

Jumper got a cute Leapfrog puppy.

And Brex got a light up remote control car.

On Christmas Eve we went to Ephraim for the Parry Christmas Party. Santa made another visit here.

After dinner, a white elephant gift exchange, and getting lots of treats from thez pinata. The 10 Parry grandsons are anxious for a gift from Grandma and Grandpa.

A Hot Wheels Monster Truck Crasher for Brex and I light up farm and helicopter for Jumper.

After the party we traveled back to Richfield. The boys got more pajamas for Christmas Eve.

Brex was so excited for Christmas this year. He wanted a dinosaur jungle thing, then changed his mind to a Nintendo DS right before Christmas, and Santa brought him both!

Opening presents on Christmas morning.

A Red Rider BB gun from mom and dad. I hope he doesn't shoot his eye out.

Jumper loved playing with the wrapping paper and boxes. Brexton isn't a huge fan of opening gifts. About halfway through he said, "Who is going to open all my gifts so I can play with them."

Here is Jumper with his many, many gifts.

And here is Brex with all of his gifts. His favorite things were his DS, Wii games, little Spike dinosaur to go with his big Spike dinosaur from last year, and his dinosaur jungle. We have had such a great holiday spending time with family and just hanging out together. This really is a magical season filled with our Savior's love and family traditions.

ZooLights

Deena and I took Brex and Madison to Zoolights and Dinner with Santa. Even though it was snowy and super cool, we had a great time.

Such a sweet Santa!

Mr. and Mrs. Claus reading "Twas the night before Christmas."

The tigers were really active.

The lights were really cute and better than I thought they would be. We all had a great night, and ended it with a yummy desert from The Bakery!

Jumper is 6 months old!

We love Jumper so much! He is such a snuggly, happy baby. He loves to play with his brother (will always give him kisses), loves to roll around, loves Yo Gabba Gabba, loves taking a bath with Brex, and anything he can chew on. He doesn't like to sleep, doesn't like his car seat, and would rather have regular food instead of baby food.

Jumper weighed 21.8 lbs putting him in the 98th%ile

Holiday Baking

I went with my sister in law, Jeneka, to Richfield to do a little holiday baking. Well, a little turned into a lot. Almost two full days of making goodness equals this:

5 batches of suckers

7 batches oftoffee
with Bryson's grandma Lorna's famous recipe

2 batches of caramels (my favorite)

5 batches of peanut brittle

2 large batches of sugar cookies

Mmmmm...don't you wish you were my neighbor?

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in Richfield with Bryson's family this year since Bryson didn't have to work. It was a full house, but so nice to visit with everyone.

Jumper was ready to eat!

Jumper with his great-grandma Peggy.

Brex and Andi ready to eat. It looks like Andi is a little upset.

Matching pajamas for bed.

Our hearts are so full of gratitude this time of year. We have been blessed with two healthy and happy boys that bring us so much joy. We have jobs to provide for them, the Gospel to guide us, friends who keep us entertained and amazing families that love and support us. We really do have so much to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Tiny Treasures

Pediatrician: Does Brigdon pee and poop regularly?
Me: Yip.
Brex: Oh yeah...He's a really good pooper, huh mom?!?

Bryson was a little late picking Brex up from school, so Brex, his teacher and the secretaries were just talking when Bryson got there. This is how the conversation went before Bryson got there.
Teacher: So Brex, is your mom or dad picking you today?
Brex: My dad, because my mom is at work.
Teacher: Oh, what does your mom do?
Brex: She cheers for the Utes.
Teacher: Oh.......
Teacher: So where do you think your dad is?
Brexton: At home playing with Jumper.
Teacher: Jumper?
Brexton: That's my brother.

Mom: What do you think we should get grandpa for Christmas?
Brex: A Knife.
Mom: A Knife?
Brex: Yeah, so he can cut the chicken on Valentine's Day?
Mom: What?
Brex: I mean Thanksgiving.
Mom: And turkey...not chicken.
Brex: Is that what you eat on Thanksgiving?
Mom: Yeah.
Brex: Oh. What do we do on Valentine's anyway?
Mom: Celebrate love.
Brex: I'm going to celebrate my toys because I love them.

Sleeping Boys

Saturday afternoon nap for the boys...

If you look close Bryson is asleep too.

So peaceful.

So You Think You Can Dance

After a trip to California to see the SYTYCD tour a few years ago, it's become a tradition for my friend Deena and I to go see the tour. It is always so much fun to get out every once in awhile and Deena is always the one to call.

Halloween

Jumper was a little monkey for Halloween. Brexton had the cutest little monster costume we wanted him to wear, but it didn't even fit over Jumper's thighs.

Brexton was Wolverine.

Trunk or Treating with the ward.

I took the boys to Ephraim so Brex could go with his cousins to the Halloween carnival there. They sure had a blast! Brexton decided he wanted to wear his costume from last year, good thing it still fits!

Then we went truck or treating in Manti. What a super fun Halloween!

Cornbelly's

My friend Deena and I took Brex and Madison to Cornbelly's again this year since they had so much fun last year. It was super cold and windy that day, but I still think they had a great time!

Two cute kids!

Jumper's 1st food

Being such a big boy, our pediatrician had us start Jumper on rice cereal. He loved it at first, but no so much lately. He does love the banana oatmeal cereal though! He would much rather suck on a peach or chew on a pear, which he goes nuts for!

Witches Night Out!

My friend Tiffany invited me to go to Witches Night Out at Gardner Village with her and a bunch of other gal pals. This was my first year attending, and I think this needs to be a yearly tradition!

We had a great night dancing and witch watching! What a fun gathering!

4 Month Stats

Boy oh Boy! Brigdon had his 4 month well-visit (sooooo grateful for a healthy baby!) and here are his stats:
Weight: 19lbs 5oz - 97%ile
Legth: 26 inches- 75%ile

Still our big boy and as sweet as ever! He is such a happy baby, and is almost always content. He loves playing with his big brother and laughs at everything he does. He loves to chew on his toes or anything that he can get in his mouth. He likes to put 4 or sometimes 5 fingers in his mouth and just bite them. He doesn't like binkies- well, he just chews on them. He loves to blow raspberries and talk. Brex is always asking me, "What did he say?". He is a much better sleeper than Brexton was, but wakes up every hour and wants to play or talk. He still poops 2-3 times a night, (so annoying) and is always so happy when I change him that I end up playing with him for awhile. He loves the Jumper-roo, just like Brex (best toy ever!). He giggles and giggles (he has the sweetest laugh in the world) whenever I dial on our home phone, or when Brex laughs. Bryson just has to look at him to get him to smile! He loves (or doesn't mind) cuddling. Brex would arch his back and didn't want anything to do with cuddles. We really are enjoying him and love him so very much! I just wish we could freeze time right now...I love this age!

Brigdon's Blessing

We scheduled Brigdon's blessing for September 20th, and found out right after I sent the announcements that it was our Stake Conference on that day. We decided to bless him in our home and not have to reschedule it. I was surprised at how wonderful and spiritual it was! Bryson, again, gave a beautiful blessing for our precious boy. We have such amazing friends and families, and so many of them traveled several hours to share this special day with us. We really are blessed with Brigdon's sweet spirit in our home. We love him so much!

Bryson and Briggs

Such a happy boy!

Just a little crowded! But wouldn't have had it any other way!!

We had a luncheon at our clubhouse after the blessing. We realized that all Helen and Kreg's 10 grandkids were there, so this is our attempt at getting a picture with them all in it. Pretty exciting!

Family Pics

We had our family pictures taken by my BFF Chelsey and her hubby Ricky. Brex was a silly goose the entire time, but it's fun to see his goofy personality in the photos. It was a lot harder than I thought to get everyone looking at the camera at the same time (especially Bryson), but Chels and Rick were able to get a bunch of great shots and we love them! Here are just a few of my favorites!

So sweet!

Such a Sweet Boy

Briggs
(2.5 months)

We love this boy so much! He has been such a good baby! He is so content and always has a smile for us! He rarely cries, and just fusses when he needs a diaper change or if he's hungry. What a sweet addition to our family. We are truly blessed with two amazing, healthy, and happy little boys.

First Day of Preschool!

Brexton was so excited to go to Preschool! He absolutely loves it. The only thing he doesn't like is waiting all morning to go. Should have put him in the morning class. He is going to the Learning Dynamics Preschool, and so far we have been really impressed!

Well Visit Stats

To make things a little easier for me, I took Brexton in for his 4 year well visit the day I took Brigdon in for his 2 month check-up. What better way to kill time waiting than with a camera?

Brexton: 4 years old
39.8 lbs 75%ile
40 inches 25%ile

Brigdon: 2 months
24 inches - 75%ile
14 lbs 10 oz - 97%ile

(He's our big boy!)

Shots...ouch!
It was so sad seeing him get his shots. When he got them Brexton started crying because he didn't want the nurse to hurt his little brother and he didn't like seeing Jumper cry. So, the three of us left the doctor's office in tears. The rest of the day, Brex kept softly rubbing Brigg's legs and asking him if he was okay. He sure does love his brother.

Cowabunga!

My mom came up one day and watched Jumper while Brex and I went to Cowabunga Bay Waterpark with my super awesome friend Deena and her super dang cute girl Madison. Brex loves playing with Madison and was so excited to spend the day with her.

After a few hours of fun in the sun, we went and ate at Lone Star Taqueria. Deena saw the restaurant on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and wanted to try the fish tacos. I wasn't brave enough to get a fish taco- but the pork burrito and bean dip were great!

24th of July

We had a BBQ with some of our neighbors to celebrate Pioneer Day. What's better than yummy ribs, homemade rootbeer, great friends and fireworks?

Why is it so hard to get kids to eat when they are with friends?

The kids loved the fireworks, even though they were a little loud.

Like Father Like Son

One afternoon when we were out and about shopping and running errands, we decided to stop at Chuck E. Cheeses. As I was watching Bryson and Brex play- I realized how much they are alike. Maybe it was just because they were wearing the same thing- but I just couldn't stop smiling ;D

This is Brex's favorite game- where you shoot the coin in the dragon's(alligator?) mouth. He probably did it 30 times. He didn't know that you try to make it in when the light is at the top- but he did hit the jackpot!
